Today I’d like to share something very special with you. This March, we celebrate 40 years of UNO Productions. It all began in March 1986, when a young dreamer took his first step toward building what this company has become today.
Those were not easy times. The market was more limited, and opportunities were few. There were long days—and even longer nights—filled with thinking, dreaming, and yes, even doubting. Figuring out how to begin, how to shape an idea, how to find the right name… even deciding not to name the company after myself. Every one of those decisions became part of a journey I now look back on with deep gratitude.
Along the way, I was fortunate to have a great friend by my side—a trusted attorney who believed in me and gave me the encouragement I needed to move forward. He is no longer with us, but he lives on in my memory and in every step of this journey. I dedicate this story to him: Peter Lopez.
And of course, to my beloved family—my foundation through every stage of this path. They stood by me in the challenges, the setbacks, and the uncertain moments… and they’ve shared in every joy and every achievement along the way.
Forty years later, it has been a journey filled with adventure, learning, challenges, and countless blessings.
Today, we’re honored to share a video that captures a part of this story. I hope you’ll take a moment to watch it and join me once again in reflecting on a path shaped by incredible people and meaningful projects.
From the bottom of my heart —thank you to everyone who has believed, supported, and been part of this dream.
With a warm embrace,
Luis Medina
